January Favorites
Happy Friday! I hope everyone is excited for the weekend!
I decided to bring back my Friday Favorites once per month instead of every other week because I have to limit the amount of time I spend searching for things on the internet/social media. Otherwise I’ll go NUTS.
Per usual, there’s a random collection of things I’ve been loving lately with hyperlinks that will take you to the original source. I hope you enjoy them and that you all have a wonderful weekend!
*****************************************************************************
Favorite Dream Kitchen: Cypress Wall Kitchen. I can’t stop dreaming about what our kitchen is going to look like when we finally get around to buying a house one day. It’s not good, actually, because I have an exact idea in my head of what I want. Lots of natural light, clean white counters and cabinets, a big farm sink, and earthy wood accents. That’s not too much to ask, right? ;)
Favorite Healthy Lunch: Asian Chopped Salad with Sesame Soy Dressing. This would have been perfect for my healthy lunch round-up last week. I love that Gina thought to finely chop the snow peas, such a great idea. The colors alone are enough to bust me out of a winter funk!
Favorite Snack: Peanut Butter Balls. Peanut butter? Check! Chocolate? Check! Drool on my face? Check!
Favorite Cozy Winter Meal: Vegan Seven Spice Chickpea Stew. All of the spices in this sound so warming and healthy. Plus, it’s made in one pot. You can’t beat that with a stick!
Favorite Album: Adele 25. I know we’ve all heard Hello a million times by now, but there are so many other great songs on this album. My personal favorite is Water Under the Bridge. I can’t help lip syncing and dancing when it comes on.
Favorite Natural Lotion: Andalou Naturals Cocoa Body Butter. I feel like I’m always mentioning lotion in my favorites. But seriously, I LOVE this one. It’s made with high quality natural ingredients, it’s cruelty-free and it smells like chocolate dessert. What more could you want?
Favorite House/Winter Pants: Athleta Polar Tech Power Stretch Pants. These are the coziest, warmest, most comfortable pants I have ever owned. I bought a pair almost four years ago and have washed them a billion times but they’re still in perfect condition. They were on sale recently so I stocked up on a few more pairs for the next 4+ years. If you can find any left in your size, I highly recommend them!
Favorite Workout: CorePower Yoga. One of my goals for 2016 was to start doing yoga on a weekly basis. Rather than spend money at a studio, I decided to search for something I could do at home which brought me to this video. I enjoyed doing it so much that I purchased their DVD from Amazon and it’s been a great way to fit in little bits of yoga on my own time!
Favorite Supplement: MegaFood Balanced B Complex. If you read yesterday’s post then you know that I decided to stop eating yogurt every morning. Because of that, I wanted to make sure I was getting enough B-12. I’m not a huge fan of taking supplements but I like this one because it’s made from whole food sources and it’s certified vegan.
Favorite Guilty Pleasure: The Bachelor. I just can’t help being obsessed with this show. I think Ben might be my favorite Bachelor yet. Are you watching it? Who do you think he’s going to pick?!
Favorite Decadent Treat: Fudgy Avocado Brownies with Fudge Frosting. THIS. I can’t. I’m dead.
We have the same dream kitchen fantasy. Big windows and bright light are a must, plus tons of light and a huge farmhouse table….yep, basically the same. We are still renting too and I can’t wait to have a place that’s all ours!
I love watching the Bachelor too! Ben is super cute. My money’s on Lauren B or Caila to win, but we’ll see. Have a great weekend!
We’ll have our dream kitchens one day! :)
And I agree with you, I think Lauren B and Caila are the top two. Olivia probably won’t last much longer at the rate she’s going. Talking about her cankles probably isn’t going to win him over, just sayin’. ;)
Ahhh that kitchen!! So bright and cheery. I love CorePower’s videos…I have a couple myself! Also those brownies – OMG NEED!!
I wish they would make more of the CorePower DVD’s! Or have live streaming classes. I love the one I have but listening to them explain the postures every time gets old. They should have one that’s a little more advanced.
I’m thinking you need Chip and Joanna to design your kitchen in the future ;) and I totally understand the double-edge sword with the dog. You want to be FREE from your dog and then the moment you are you miss her haha ahhh well. Happy Friday, Sarah!
I would LOVE to have Chip and Joanna design my kitchen. UGH. Only in my dreams! :)
Thank goodness for rain in Cali finally, huh!? It’s so refreshing to see green grass. And, yes — you know how The Bachelor is my guilty pleasure, too. Ben, swoooooon.
And those brownies… I must make stat!!
He’s such a cutie!!
I love your Favorite Dream Kitchen. It is gorgeous and I think it is my favourite type of kitchen as well. And I also love the Andalou Naturals Cocoa Body Butter. I love it and I always use it. Have a lovely weekend ;-)
Those brownies are RIDIC! Holy smokes. And I’ve recently started taking a vitamin B-12 supplement as well, and I’ve actually noticed that it’s made a huge difference in my mood and energy levels. Definitely useful for when the winter blues start kicking in.
Happy Friday, lady!! xo
Yes, it’s done so much for my energy as well. Now only if we could put Hawaii in a pill, right? ;)
Everything looks absolutely delicious! Those avocado brownies look absolutely divine! And those peanut butter balls look like the perfect snack! Thanks for sharing! :D
Oh my… so much to talk about here, Sarah! Lets see… those pants!! I purchased Zella a few years back, and it’s like these pants.. they just last and last. I really need another pair because I love them so much, but should give these a go! BEN!! He is so sweet, right, and handsome! I’m a week behind in watching because I stream (no cable)… so I’m always anxious to know whats happening!! AUGH!! That kitchen I pinned and showed my hubs… we talk about a remodel a lot.. so I’ve got a board going with my faves! Thank you for the yoga link. I’m with you.. I like classes to a certain extent, but some days, just need the flexibility.. at home yoga is good! Thank you for this my dear! So helpful!
I love chatting with you about the Bachelor, Traci! Ben is such a hunk and I can’t wait to see who he ends up with! :)
I’m so excited to have a house one day with my dream kitchen too! I don’t know exactly what I want it to look like yet, but I know I want lots of light, two ovens, and a Wolf gas stove. Oh and lots of storage space – that’s the bane of my existence right now haha.
I know! A big pantry is a must for me too. I’m currently storing things in my bathroom, lol!
