Three Ingredient Superfood Smoothie + Amazing Grass Giveaway!
I can’t even believe January is almost over. Time is just flyin’ on by!
Between driving, working and then spending an hour at the gym, I’m gone for at least 12 hours a day so that might have something to do with it. It can be exhausting at times but it feels great to be in a routine again. I’m definitely my happiest when I’m staying active and eating right.
I even got Brandon to go to a Body Attack class with me last Saturday morning! It’s soooo hard for me to get up early on the weekends but I hate missing Saturday’s class since it’s the only day my favorite instructor teaches. I convinced Brandon to join me so that I would have double the reason to get out of bed and let me tell you, he did an awesome job keeping up! That class is not easy, especially if it’s your first time. I was so proud.
When we came home, I whipped us up a few smoothies along with scrambled eggs and toast and it hit the spot!
I like to try out different recipes on occasion but this particular one is my go-to smoothie and it’s perfect for a post workout treat. With only three ingredients, it’s incredibly simple and takes all of three seconds to make.
I’m not a huge fan of supplements because I believe if you eat healthy enough then you don’t need to spend all of that extra money on pills. But I do like to have something on hand to add a little oomph to my smoothies and Amazing Grass is hands down, the best oompher {let’s just pretend that’s a real word} I’ve tried.
The Amazing Meal blend is loaded with superfoods like wheat grass, kale, açai and goji berries as well as protein from hemp seeds and brown rice.
Not to mention, it has less than one gram of sugar. It’s pretty much a healthy foodie’s dream come true.
In addition, pineapple contains bromelain which is thought to reduce inflammation in the body so when you drink this smoothie, you are getting a host of feel good nutrients. Your body will definitely thank you after this!
Ingredients
1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
1 and 1/2 cup vanilla almond milk
1 scoop Amazing Meal powder
1/2 cup filtered water
2 ice cubes
Instructions
- Place all ingredients into a blender and blend on high until smooth. Serve cold.
Because I love this product so much and because I love my readers so much {and want you all to be as healthy as possible!}, I’m giving away a container of Amazing Meal to one of you!

Happy Monday! :)
I love amazing grass. Such a wonderful supplement. Your go-to smoothie sounds absolutely perfect!
I usually do my cardio after strength training, because I don’t have as much energy if I do cardio first and can’t give it my all!
I’ve tried amazing meal once a few years ago. I’d love to give it another try in my smoothies!
After!
Cardio after! Though a 5 minute cardio warmup is always good. This stuff looks amazing–I mean just look at that nutritional info. I’d love to win some to put into my smoothies :)
100% lifting after cardio. Lifting isn’t always my favorite thing so I want to be sure I’m fresh and not too tired so I don’t half ass the lift
I’m my happiest too when I eat right and stay active, and I can imagine how this smoothie would make me feel better! It sounds so delicious and nourishing! ;-)
Everyone always RAVES about Amazing Grass, but the only health supplement I have tried is Vega. But I’ve been wanting to try Amazing Grass because to me it seemed to be a little more healthy – superfoods for the win!
I definitely do cardio first b/c it aligns with my current goals – to be a faster/stronger runner. Plus, I find that running first warms up my body a lot more to do the weight training!
That’s awesome that 1. Brandon was willing to go to Body Attack with you and 2. that he was able to keep up! I used to take that class at my old gym and it’s definitely a tough one.
Strength first, followed by cardio ;-)
That stuff looks awesome! I love that there’s little to no sugar in it too!
I definitely have to do cardio first to wake myself up and get motivated!
I like cardio first to warm up!
Strength training is harder for me, so I like to do it first. I just bought a Ninja this weekend and this smoothie looks like the perfect thing to break it in! Would love to try the Amazing Meal too!!
I’ve been eyeing these types of powders in my health food store forever! They’d take such a hassle off juicing and such but the pricey-ness has kept me from buying any! Glad to know you enjoy it. I personally like to do cardio before, not sure why but it’s just the way I’ve always done it.
I prefer to do cardio and strenght training on different days. Seems easier for me to dedicate myself and having a great workout!

Great smoothie! I haven’t seen these powders before, so I’m super excited about this!
I like doing cardio before strength training the most!
Body Attack is a stellar workout – Brandon’s such a trooper to go with you! This smoothie would be perfect for a post-workout snack. 3 ingredients? I’m in!
I don’t usually do them on the same day. But if so, I like to do strength sandwiched between cardio! And this smoothie sounds delicious!
I do my cardio after strength training as I feel much better with this routine! I would love, love to win this product!
I like to do my cardio after my strength training. Otherwise, I don’t feel like I can give 100% to strength training.
Love the simplicity of this smoothie and the idea of using almond milk (I always go for the soy milk, I’m getting tired of it!). I would give the powder meal a go, sounds like a great addition.
Yum that smoothie sounds like a great one! Love the use of pineapple.
Well done on both the body attack class and getting Brandon there too :D I struggle to get Nick to the gym with me and am more likely to get him to go for a walk with me or hiking instead.
Always before strength training :)
Cardio on a totally different day for me!
I need to get back into a smoothie kick and must try Amazing Meal powder, usually I just use protein powder, so this would be a nice change.
I like to do cardio before strength training– I always have more energy then!
I like to do strength one day and cardio the next day.
3 ingredients? How good does that sound! Do you know I’ve never actually tried pineapple in a smoothie before (or amazing grass, although not sure they sell this in Australia?) I’ll have to give this a go :)
Oh pick me! I would love to try this!
I like to do cardio before strength training!
It is impressive that you got Brandon to go to Body Attack with you. I rarely can convince my husband to go to classes with me. He does like spinning though! As you pointed out, that is a tough class so good for him for going!
How did Brandon like BodyAttack?! I don’t think I’ll ever get my bf to go… he says he’s much too uncoordinated and he hates dancing :( lol
I’ll have to try this smoothie out. I have a small jar of Amazing Grass powder that I add to smoothies when I’m low on greens, etc. but I’d love to try the Amazing Meal. I almost always do cardio first then weights. It feels like the workout flows better ;)
I haven’t had amazing grass in a while. i remember it being quite good, especially the chocolate :D I like doing my cardio first and if I feel up to strength training, doing it after…. hence why I hardly ST. whoops.
I love doing my cardio AFTER my strength training!
I like it after. I love strength training.
I alternate my cardio and my strength training days.
I would love to try this.. I love smoothies, i do my on adding different supplements in. It is organic, i will be looking to find it in canada… Looks yummy… Thank you.
I prefer to do cardio before weightlifting because it gets me warmed up and I have more energy.
I do it both ways; it doesn’t seem to make that much difference.
I prefer cardio after strength training.

I like to do my cardio before strength!
