Super Green Protein Smoothie
An invigorating smoothie packed with plant protein and a secret ingredient for a natural energy boost!
Happy New Year everyone!
Isn’t there something refreshing about starting another year over with a clean slate?
Maybe it’s just me, but I love organizing my thoughts and making a list of all of the things I want to accomplish throughout the year. It helps keep me focused and energized for everything that’s to come.
That sounds almost as cliché as posting a green smoothie during the first week of January, doesn’t it?
I know, but after you drink one of these babies, there’s a good chance you’ll feel the same way.
Each one is full of healthy protein from spinach, hemp seeds, and almond butter. And there’s a touch of green tea powder to give you a little antioxidant-packed boost for the day. I don’t drink coffee so using matcha powder in my smoothies is a great substitute for me. The flavor is subtle and it blends right in so you barely notice it.
This combination is our favorite so far and I’m sure you’ll love it as much we do if you give it a try.

3/4 cup frozen ripened banana (approx.1 medium banana)
1/2 cup frozen mango chunks
1 cup spinach
1 tablespoon almond butter
2 teaspoons hemp seeds
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 teaspoon matcha (green tea) powder
- Place all of the ingredients into a blender and blend on high for 1-2 minutes, until smooth.
