Honey-Lime Peach Salsa
Honey-Lime Peach Salsa- Simple to make and bursting with summer flavor, this fruit salsa is the perfect side to serve at BBQ’s and picnics!
How do we all feel about fruit salsa? I know it might sound a little weird to some but you can’t knock it until you try it!
Especially when ripe juicy peaches, crunchy sweet corn and fresh basil is involved. My goodness it’s one heck of a combination. It’s also ridiculously easy to make. We’re talking 20 minutes and it’s ready to go. Perfect to whip up for your next summer picnic or BBQ.
Peach Salsa Ingredients
- Ripe Peaches- It’s vital that you use peaches that are just barely ripe. You don’t want overly firm peaches nor do you want sloppy, mushy peaches. Firm but not too firm is what we’re looking for here. The riper they are, the less likely it is that this salsa will hold up well the next day.
- Tomato- Same story here. You want it ripe for the best flavor but not to the point that it looks like crushed tomatoes. We’re going for texture in this salsa.
- Fresh Corn- You can cut the fresh corn right off of the cob for a nice crunchy texture or you can grill it to soften it a bit. Either way works beautifully.
- Red Onion- Finely chopped red onion acts a nice savory pop of flavor that balances out the sweet in this recipe.
- Jalapeño- Another savory addition, jalapeño adds depth making it taste more like a true salsa. I personally don’t find it to be spicy (especially when the seeds are removed) but you can forgo this ingredient if you’re concerned it will be too hot for your preferences.
- Fresh Basil- Now technically you could get away with fresh cilantro or basil here but I really love the way fresh basil pairs with the peaches and the corn. Totally up to you though!
- Lime Juice- Fresh squeezed lime juice is ideal but you can use the bottled stuff if you’re in a pinch. I promise I won’t tell anybody. ;)
- Honey- Start with just a teaspoon and taste test to see if you prefer more. I find the sweeter the peaches are, the less you’ll need. Feel free to substitute agave nectar for a vegan version!
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil- Just a little bit of healthy fat helps round out the flavor profile. Make sure to use a quality olive oil for best results.
How to Make Peach Salsa
- Chop your produce. This is really the most time consuming part but it’s not complicated so you can easily do it while listening to your favorite podcast or catching up on FaceTime with a friend.
- Make the dressing. Just add the lime juice, honey and olive oil to a measuring cup then whisk it all together. Boom.
- Stir it all together and serve!
Moral of this story: peach salsa = summertime. So grab a chip, a spoon, or smother it on top of something and enjoy!

Honey-Lime Peach Salsa
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh peaches, diced into ½-inch pieces, about 2-3 medium/large peaches
- 1 cup tomato, diced into ½-inch pieces, about 1 large tomato
- 1 cup fresh corn kernels, raw or grilled
- ½ cup red onion, finely chopped
- ¼ cup jalapeño, seeded and finely chopped
- ¼ cup fresh basil, thinly sliced
- ¼ cup lime juice, about 2 limes
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon honey, or more to taste
- pinch of fine sea salt
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the diced peaches, tomato, corn, onion, jalapeno and basil.
- In a measuring cup, whisk together the lime juice, olive oil, honey and salt. Taste test to see if you prefer a sweeter flavor and add more honey, as desired.
- Pour the honey-lime mixture over top of everything in the bowl. Stir to combine. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 hours before serving. Leftovers will usually hold up for 1-2 days depending on how ripe your peaches and tomato are, however the salsa is best when eaten the day of.
Welp, I love mango salsa so I imagine I’d love peach salsa too! And those chips sounds amazing. The right tortilla chip makes allllll the difference. But really.
I love the idea of adding honey to a fruit salsa! And of course, any sort of fruit salsa will make me happy.
Interesting tortillas. So far I’ve liked all the products you endorsed (without getting paid :)). I think we like the same kind of food. Natural and healthy.
p.s. Never eaten peaches in a salad, shame on me: it looks so fresh!
This salsa is so beautiful! I love peaches and in Jersey they’re coming in! I may have to try this one. It would probably be delicious on some grilled chicken!
I have been loving peaches this summer and that salsa looks amazing! I think I like nectarines more though, I’m sure they’d work great in this too.
I’ve had peaches on the brain too! I love fruit salsas, but sadly the husband does not, so I don’t make them as often as I want to. Maybe I’ll just make a batch for myself ;-)
Love your salsa, sounds delicious! Where did you get those chia and quinoa chips?
Thanks Cheri! I found the chips at Whole Foods.
Corn salsa is the bomb.com. And this recipe looks so refreshing with a little bit of added sweet! Peaches just scream ‘Summer!’ to me!
I need to try making this! i saw the photo pop up in my email and basically i would have it for lunch right now if i could, and then again in an hour or two for snack :)
Haha I love your comparison between peaches and men! It is true though : ) I’ve had a tough time with picking out the right peaches at the store!
And this sounds perfect. I love a good fruit salsa!
That salsa looks amazing and I also love those chips! My man is thankfully quite sweet and fuzzy when he doesn’t shave his beard :)
I don’t think I’ve ever had a peach salsa before. This looks addicting!
Where did you find those chips? I’ve been lookin’ for them.
Pinning this summer recipe!
Whole Foods!
Oh my gosh, I’m LOLing at your metaphor! :) Good thing we already found our peaches… err… men ;) And I love a good sweet salsa – your recipe looks perfect!
Fruit salsa is my FAVE! I’ve never tried those chips before, but if they’re the deliciousest, I’ve got to keep an eye out for them. We won’t tell Brandon you found a few rotten spots on him… just teasing :)
He knows he can be rotten sometimes but he’s definitely my perfect peach! ;)
Thank you for this recipe! I have been compulsively buying Trader Joe’s Peach salsa to have on hand for surprise guests, but I would love to make the real thing for a bachelorette party I’m hosting this weekend ;)
Have fun at the party this weekend! :)
I love fruity salsa! And peaches! You are so right about peaches — I can appreciate where you were going with that metaphor haha
Brandon said the beginning of this post makes it sound like I’m a single lonely woman, haha! I’m glad you were able to appreciate the point I was try to make. ;)
Wow, this peach salsa looks amazing! I could easily eat this for a meal :D Pinning
I absolutely LOVE peach salsa. And I agree with you that good peaches, like men, are hard to find! :)
I’m so glad you understand where I’m coming from! Luckily we were able to find us a few good peaches. ;)
perfect! I just got some kale & chia tortilla chips which are perfect for salsa dipping…I was looking for a healthy store bought option but homemade always beats store bought! This looks super refreshing :)
YUM! This looks delicious!! So healthy and fresh! Great recipe!… even if you just have a cutting board!! LOVE it :)
this is just the perfect light summer salad.. definitely will be recreating this salsa in my kitchen. love that you used peaches. yum!
Awh girl, you’re sooooo sweet! I loved the comparison hehe :’) Aaaaand I love the sound of this salsa as well. Peach anything is a winner! And those tortilla chips sound amaaazing!
I bought a jar of this at Whole Foods on Saturday for $6. Insaneee. Yours looks 10x better! This is the perfect light summer salsa! Sometimes you don’t want to go ALL out and spicy in the summer, so this is the perfect in between!
looks great! never heard of fruit in salsa before, but it looks yummy :)
Ha! I love your peach metaphor, so true! I’m a huge chipaholic (apparently chipaholic isn’t a word and it is suggesting I replace it with shopaholic or chocoholic which incidentally I think I am both of those too!), and this salsa looks like the perfect excuse to eat more chips! I love that you added the sweet peaches!
I don’t know how I missed this post but all I can say is I need that salsa now. Period end.
