Creamy Mango Yogurt Smoothie

Well, hello there! How was everybody’s weekend? Good, I hope! Mine was pretty uneventful which is why I skipped out on doing a post on Friday. No one wants to listen to me complain about work, am I right? Well, even though my weekend was spent working, I am pretty pumped about today’s post! And no, it’s not just because of this thick & creamy smoothie.

Besides being packed with refreshing fruity flavor from diced mango, banana, peaches, and a little bit of orange-pineapple juice, it’s also made with vanilla yogurt to give it that comforting, rich and creamy texture.

Seriously, how many times am I going to say creamy today? I guess I can’t think of a better way to describe it… Anyway, what I’m trying to tell you is that this is one tasty smoothie. And (if it weren’t for the light green color) you would never know that it’s sneaking in a serving of muscle-building fresh spinach and skin-glowing carrots.

  • 1 cup frozen mango
  • 1/2 cup frozen peaches
  • 1 medium-size frozen banana
  • 2 small carrots, peeled and diced
  • 1 and 1/2 cups baby spinach
  • 3/4 cup (6 ounces) dairy-free yogurt
  • 1/2 cup orange-pineapple juice*

Makes 2 servings

  1. In a blender, combine frozen mango, peaches and banana along with vanilla Greek yogurt.
  2. Add diced carrots and spinach, then pour in juice and blend on high until a smooth and creamy texture has formed.

*I actually used an orange juice blended with pineapple, mango and apple (which was deelicious) but you could use any orange juice blend and it would taste just as good.

Right after a great workout, of course! After I wrote my review of Ramona Braganza’s 321 Method Level One DVD, I tweeted Ramona to let her know how much I love her product and she was kind enough to send me an extra copy to give away to a lucky reader!

Honestly, I can’t stress enough how great this DVD is. It’s a perfect at-home option for those don’t have the time to make it to the gym (new moms or commuters, like myself) or for those who can’t afford a gym membership. All you need is a little bit of space, a small step bench (like they use in BodyPump) or incline bench, a set of dumbbells and you’re good to go! Even if you do have a gym membership or access to a small gym, it is a great way to spice up your routine with some new moves and her awesome 321 method. You could watch the DVD once and take notes on the routine and moves to take with you to the gym later. p 533

Either way, it’s great for some new fitness motivation and we could all use that with summertime right around the corner. To enter the giveaway, log in to the Rafflecopter with your email or Facebook account and follow the directions for multiple entries for more chances to win. After the giveaway closes on Friday, June 21st, I will notify the winner via email to get your mailing address. Thanks for entering and good luck! a Rafflecopter giveaway
