2014 Reader Survey Results!

First of all, I want to thank you all so much for taking the time to complete my survey! It was super helpful to be able to listen to some of your feedback and I feel full of new ideas for the year. I was also really inspired by your sweet comments. Seriously guys, reading through them made my heart with swell with happiness. I’m so thankful for every day that you come here and check in with me! :)

So I thought I would go ahead and share the results with you, for those that might be interested. Thankfully my husband is a graph wizard and was able to throw together a few to help me make things more visually organized. Isn’t he the best?

Okay, so without further adieu, let’s take a look at the results!

Why Visit(1)

First and foremost, I wanted to know what keeps you guys coming back to this site. I have to say, I wasn’t that surprised by the responses, considering that the majority of my posts are recipe related. You guys definitely love food!

But I was surprised (and happy!) to see the responses for lifestyle and travel posts. I enjoy sharing bits of my life with you and also love to travel so hopefully there will be more of that in the near future.

New Posts Through(1)

This was to see how the majority of you receive new posts and email is the most popular.  I had some difficulties with it earlier in the year when I switched from Feedburner to Mail Chimp but hopefully you all are getting new posts normally again.

See More Of(1)

Healthy lunches and slow cooker recipes won for the most popular of what you’d like to see more of! I usually eat leftovers for lunch so that’s one topic that I really need to challenge myself with more often. And I’ve also been testing several slow cooker recipes over the past month so hopefully some of them will be ready to share soon!

See Less Of(1)

One of the mains things I was curious about was how you guys felt about my book reviews. I don’t do them frequently and they also don’t really go with my niche so I kind of feel a little awkward posting them. There were mixed results on this and it’s something I really enjoy doing on a personal level so I might just do updates on what I’ve read recently rather than specific reviews.

For those of you that put quinoa, I don’t know what to say. I love it and it would be very hard for me to avoid so I can’t see myself veering away from that one anytime soon.

Dietary Restrictions(3)

Sometimes I push myself really hard to create vegan and/or gluten-free recipes and end up with multiple fails and it frustrates the crap out of me. So understanding how important that is to you is a big help. Overall it seems like the gluten-free/vegan aspect isn’t all that big of a deal so it makes me feel better about mixing in recipes with wheat, eggs and dairy.

If you have anything that you would like to add in regards to these subjects, please feel free to let me know in the comments. Thank you again for your help!

Also, I will be emailing the winner of the gift card shortly so that you can claim your prize!
