14 Romantic Vegan Dinner Ideas
Who has big plans for Valentine’s Day?
Per usual, we don’t have any plans. Most of the nice restaurants typically do a prix fixe menu which rarely suits a vegetarian better yet, vegan diet. But that’s fine by me! It’s a good excuse to put on my sweatpants, crack open a bottle of wine and cook a delicious meal with my main squeeze.
In honor of those looking for a meatless meal this Valentine’s Day, I’ve put together a collection of delicious dinners that are perfect to cook for your Valentine…or for yourself. It doesn’t matter. Either way, just make sure you serve it warm with lots of love!
Cauliflower Steaks with Mushroom Gravy from Oh My Veggies
Sweet & Smoky Glazed Tofu Ham from Isa Chandra
Vegan Mushroom Bourguignon from Making Thyme for Health
Vegan Spaghetti alla Puttanesca from Cookie + Kate
Spaghetti & No Meatballs from Healthy. Happy. Life.
Meaty Mushroom Marinara Sauce from Oh My Veggies
Eggplant Parmesan from Oh She Glows
Butternut Squash and Kale Risotto
Garlic & White Wine Alfredo Pasta with Brussels Sprouts from Minimalist Baker
I have the same plan for Friday (minus the dog)! I am not against Valentine’s day but still, I like to keep an unconventional approach to this kind of celebrations (OK, I also don’t get flowers). Anyhow, nothing is more romantic and intimate than a dinner at home, I agree!
Wow this is one great looking list, so many awesome options
Your Valentine’s Day plans sound a looot like mine, and I’m not even mad about it. Thanks for the recipe roundup! I’m loving the pasta dishes :)
I don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day either… but I’d never say no to all of these yummy dinners. They sound all great! <3
Great looking recipes! I actually LOVE Valentine’s day. I’m not usually a sappy person, but I get really into all the pink and love and chocolate. Unfortunately, I’ll be spending my V-day with over-achieving highschoolers at a scholarship event for work, but we may go out to dinner on Saturday!
Sounds like a great way to spend Valentine’s Day to me! And, I’m loving this collection of recipes. I want all of it! ;-)
Great recipes, thanks for sharing!
I’ve always thought spending Valentines Day at home is great! We’ve always done something at home – either cooking dinner or having a “picnic” in the living room. And of course wine! This year we decided to go to a little Cuban restaurant that doesn’t go crazy with a prix fix menu and jacked up prices, but I’ll be trying out some of these recipes anyway! Thanks!
These all sound SO good!!!! Me and the hubs are actually going out for dinner on Friday night, not because it’s v-day (I’m a non-celebrater lol), but just because we badly need a date night!! But I would any one of the dishes above any other night (especially if he would make them! haha)
I normally cook for Valentine’s Day too since it is only a few days before my bday and I don’t want to have to cook on that day! This year we are going away though!
All these recipes look amazing! I’m still trying to sneak in a few vegetarian meals so I’m going to have to work up to vegan. I think if I just slip it in and don’t mention what it is the plan might work!
Wow!! What a great idea!! Fun for Valentines Day! And I’m watching Forks Over Knives… so I appreciate that they are vegan!! :)
I haven’t seen that yet but I need to. I always love a good documentary!
We’ll be staying home for valentine’s day too – I much much prefer it that way! And this is a great round-up! Some things I’d like to try even when it’s not a holiday!
And that picture of your baby – dying over the cuteness!
We are not huge into valentines day either! A date with the hubs and our pup is as good as it gets! Wonderful roundup lady. Thanks for including some of my recipes. You are the best!!!
I’ve been trying to eat more vegan meals lately (in an attempt to slowly go vegan), so this post is like a gift from heaven! I’m not huge on Vday, but I could handle a meal as good as these :) x
You make cooking vegan look so easy. :) I will have to try a few of these during my Meatless Monday adventures!
Those are the best sort of Valentine’s Day plans – especially when it’s on a Friday! Who wants to go fight the crowds after work all week?
Thanks for the shout-out, lady! We had a very similar Valentine’s Day… although the meal we cooked wasn’t vegan :) But it is always such a hassle to go out on the 14th that we gave it up years ago. Now we just opt to cook dinner, drink wine, and eat chocolate on the couch! Hope you and Brandon had a happy Valentine’s Day – your only one as an engaged couple!

We love staying in on Valentine’s Day and I would be happy to eat any one of these meals at home!
I hear ya girl, we usually don’t do a fancy dinner out for Valentine’s Day either… though I actually just published a post that talks about my awesome experience with a V-Day dinner at a vegan rooftop cafe last year :)
My fiancé and I are going out to dinner on Valentine’s Day (it’s a tradition for us!) but all of these homemade options sound so festive and delicious! :)
It is nice to get a break from the kitchen! I would totally go out if we had somewhere that offered a nice plant-based dinner.
